CronStreamHook

CronStreamHook is a Uniswap v4 hook that applies CronStream’s time-weighting principle to liquidity provision. LPs earn USDC rewards proportional to how long they keep their position active — not how much volume they generate.

Built during the Atrium Academy UHI10 Hookathon (2026). The idea comes from the “Streaming USDC Rewards for Liquidity Providers” concept in the Atrium Request for Hooks list, compiled from Circle’s hook ideas.

How It Works

The hook listens to two Uniswap v4 callbacks:

Callback	Role
`afterAddLiquidity`	Records position entry timestamp and liquidity. If position exists, accrues pending reward first before resetting clock.
`afterRemoveLiquidity`	Computes time-weighted reward, adds to claimable balance, clears state on full exit.

Reward formula:


reward = (positionLiquidity × elapsed × rewardRatePerSecond) / totalPoolLiquidity

Rewards are pulled from an external Circle Wallet vault via safeTransferFrom when the LP calls claimRewards(). The hook holds no custody over LP funds at any point.

JIT Protection

Same-block add and remove earns zero reward — elapsed = 0 returns early with no state change. JIT liquidity bots have no reward surface to exploit.

Position Isolation

Positions are keyed by positionId = keccak256(sender, tickLower, tickUpper, salt), not by wallet address alone. The same LP can hold multiple positions with different salts in the same tick range — each tracked independently with its own entry time.

Security Properties

Threat	Mitigation
JIT liquidity	`elapsed = 0` returns zero reward, no revert
Divide by zero	Early return when `totalLiquidity = 0`
Precision loss	Integer floor rounds to 0, never reverts or locks funds
Position overwrite	Salt-keyed `positionId`, not address alone
Unauthorized vault access	`setRewardVault` and `setRewardRate` are `onlyOwner`

Each deployment is an independent instance — you set your own rewardVault (any Circle Wallet or EOA that has approved the hook) and rewardRatePerSecond. No dependency on CronStream as an operator.
